Based in Denver, Alissandra has a BFA in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art and with her encyclopedic knowledge of typography is able to find the right letterforms for projects across a broad range of themes and subjects. Scanning the world with a curious eye, Alissandra takes inspiration from the things that hide in plain sight: vintage signage, packaging and ephemera spotted in new cities and old antique shops, along with flowers, plants, animals and natural scenery both near her home and further afield. Her wider influences include the Rocky Mountains, Dutch landscape paintings, vintage National Parks posters and humorous wordplay, which feeds into her designs.
