Galway Vintage

Yalumba Wines commission Martin Hargreaves to illustrate their Galway Vintage posters.

The south Australian wine is grown in a vineyard named after Sir Henry Galway, who was Governor of South Australia 100 years ago. The client asked Martin to paint a portrait of Sir Henry in the style of World War I Australian recruiting posters, echoing the history and age of the vineyard. The art has been used on three posters each advertising different wines and their qualities.
