Rohan’s illustration reflects the Paris bookshop’s long history and its place within literary culture. The shop became a European home for Beat writers including Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and Lawrence Ferlinghetti, giving Rohan a rich history to draw on for the piece.

Created for the birthday celebrations and used on store products, his intricate pen work takes on a sepia tone that gives the artwork a fitting sense of age.
