When asked to create this poster, Iratxe set out to tell a broader story about life in rural communities. The finished artwork celebrates the diversity of the women who live there, moving beyond familiar depictions centred on agricultural labour.

Instead, the illustration focuses on people coming together to share ideas, have conversations and make decisions about the future of their community.

Full of colourful characters and optimism, the piece reflects Iratxe's ability to capture connection, everyday life and a sense of collective purpose.
